Unless actor Jeremy Renner is getting his information from a parallel universe, it’s sounding likely that Hawkeye has a role in Marvel’s upcoming movie slate. Still, even Renner is quick to admit that while he’s discussed the role with Marvel, he’s not a lock for the part. Assuming the role exists and is still available, it’s worth wondering what type of actor would be best-suited for Clint Barton. I don’t think the part requires an action hero body, though an athletic physique is a must. Barton also has to be equal parts charming and arrogant without sacrificing his heroic qualities — and he’s got to be awesome with a bow and arrow, but that’s where pre-production training comes in! Keeping those prerequisites in mind, I think the following five actors would be right on the mark for Hawkeye. Read full article. |

Sharon Stone recently revealed in Prestige magazine that she will start shooting Satisfaction in January 2010. To be directed by Anya Camilleri, the drama will co-star Chris Evans and Carice van Houten (Valkyrie). According Stone, Satisfaction is “about a male prostitute in London who loses the older woman who’s been taking care of him, and the call-out agency he’s worked for is tired of his behavior and don’t want to send him out any more. He goes looking for someone else to take care of him and he keeps trying to come on to [my character]. You think they have legitimately fallen in love, by his behavior and her behavior – until the call-out service starts sending him out again while he’s with her. He starts trying to break her down. And it’s incredible what they do together: a very, very fascinating journey.” The movie, written by Simon Burke, will film in London and Rome. [Source] |

Duo sign on for male prostitute drama Sharon Stone and Chris Evans have signed on to star in Satisfaction, a drama about a male prostitute and the older lady who looks after him. How do we know this? Because Stone herself blabbed about it to Prestige magazine (sadly, not an offshoot of Dale Doback and Brennan Huff’s Prestige Worldwide). Evans will play a gigolo who becomes involved with an older lady, all while going through a traumatic relationship with his agency. Stone, we’re guessing, will play the older lady. “You think they have legitimately fallen in love, by his behaviour and her behaviour,” Stone told Prestige, “until the call-out service starts sending him out again while he’s with her. He starts trying to break her down. And it’s incredible what they do together: a very, very fascinating journey.” Read full article. |

Last week I was with a small group of people and we were able to speak with Chris Evans for an extended amount of time. While most of what we talked about is under embargo, I’m able to post part of our conversation and it covers what Chris said about Edgar Wright’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and what he think about 20th Century Fox rebooting “Fantastic Four”. As you might imagine, he was incredibly excited to talk about “Scott Pilgrim” and he was raving about working for Edgar Wright. And regarding the “Fantastic Four” reboot, I asked him if he would be willing to go back and play Johnny Storm again and he said it all depends on the director. Of course, it’s more than likely Fox is going to hire an all new cast and creative team when they reboot the property, but you never know. Exactly what Chris said is after the jump: Question: So what was your experience like on “Scott Pilgrim”? Read full article. |
